Frequently Asked Questions:
Where should we stay?
We have reserved a room block for our guests at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa. If you’re interested in staying elsewhere (which you are more than welcome to do), we recommend booking accommodations in the Lahaina/Ka’anapali area. Read more on our Accommodations page.
Can we drive ourselves to the venue?
No. Since Haiku Mill is only accessible by shuttle, we will be providing transportation to the wedding for all guests. Learn more about the pick up location here and stay tuned for updates on pick up times!
Do you have a wedding registry?
Your presence in Maui is the greatest gift we could ask for. Since we will be traveling after the wedding with limited luggage capacity, we kindly request that guests refrain from bringing gifts to Hawaii.
What should we wear?
As much as Garrick wishes he could wear a collared shirt and shorts, the dress code is formal attire.
When should we arrive/how long should we stay in Maui?
We recommend arriving by Friday June 30th at the latest. We’ll have a casual meet-and-greet on Friday night (6/30) and a post-wedding activity on Sunday (7/2); all guests are invited and these events are totally optional. We also plan on spending the 4th of July in Maui. You are more than welcome to stay and hang out with us! Check the Itinerary page for updates.
What are the best things to do in Maui?
We made sure to see as much as we could on Maui so that we could recommend the very best for our guests! Read our recommendations on the Things to Do page.
What are your favorite things to eat in Maui?
Oh man, you guys are in for a treat! Check out our Maui Food Guide for an in-depth list of places and foods to eat.
Can we bring our professional DSLR cameras?
Yes, you may – on one condition. We will be having an unplugged ceremony and request that all guests put their phones and cameras away for that portion of the wedding. After the ceremony is over, feel free to help us document the day!
Do you have a hashtag for the wedding?
You can tag your Instagram pics with #idoinhaiku. Or, if you’re feeling cheeky, use the hashtag Garrick came up with: #fernsluckyday.
Who is photographing your wedding?!
Contrary to popular belief, we will not be photographing our own wedding. We are incredibly blessed to have The Great Romance as our official wedding photographers!
